Zebity: Building a Multivendor Marketplace From the Ground Up

Challenge

A marketplace is a fundamentally different build from a single-store e-commerce site: it needs to support many independent vendors, each managing their own products, pricing and orders, while presenting customers with one seamless shopping experience across all of them.

Solution

We built Zebity with separate vendor and customer experiences on one platform — vendors get their own product and order management space, while customers browse and purchase across all vendors from a single storefront, with orders routed to the correct vendor automatically.

Development Process

Building a marketplace required designing the vendor and customer experiences in parallel from the start: vendor onboarding and product management, a unified product catalog and search for customers, and an order system that correctly routes and tracks purchases across multiple independent vendors.

Implementation

Zebity launched as a live multivendor marketplace at zebity.com, with vendors able to list and manage their own products independently on the platform.
